Carousel Widget¶
The Carousel widget allows users to create and display a sequence of related slides within a single dashboard space. Each slide can include rich text, formatting, and optional document or image attachments — making it ideal for walkthroughs, reports, or grouped visual content.
Purpose¶
Use the Carousel widget when you need to:
- Present multi-page summaries or grouped data
- Display formatted slides with embedded visuals
- Allow manual navigation through related content
Creating a Carousel Widget¶
Following the standard widget setup (see “Widget Creation Process”), you’ll be presented with a rich content editor to create your first slide. Each slide can contain:
- Formatted text (e.g., headings, tables, lists)
- PDFs or images as attachments
- Inline references or visual callouts
Additional slides can be added using the built-in navigation controls.
Using the Widget¶
Once created, the widget displays:
- A header with the name, description, and action buttons
- A manual page slider at the bottom
- A content area that shows one slide at a time
Users manually click through the slides — there is no auto-rotation.
Editing Slides¶
To update a Carousel widget:
- Click the three-dot menu (⋮) and choose Edit
- You’ll return to the editor, where you can:
- Add or remove slides
- Update text or attachments
- Reorder the slides
